Direct and pilot operated. Direct solenoid valves have the solenoid armature directly connected to the valve spool or poppet. Pilot solenoid valves use small integral direct solenoid valves to switch pilot air pressure to operate the main valve element.

Valves operated from a pilot air signal. Versions can be Pilot/Spring (pilot operated with spring return) Pilot/Pilot (pilot operated with pilot return) or Priority pilot/Pilot (pilot differential area). A pilot signal is often generated from a remote mechanical or manual valve or from a pneumatic logic system.

Valves with manual operators include a comprehensive range of neat compact push button, switch, rotary, and key operated units for panel mounting. For heavy duty applications there are two and three position lever operated valves. For direct operation from machinery and mechanisms, mechanically operated valves include plunger, roller, one-way-trip and antenna operation.

Norgren Fieldbus II system This modular system comprises a Fieldbus node with interchangeable protocol, V20 & V22 valve island modules and 4 way input and output modules. All modules can be close coupled to form one integrated block or distributed in blocks as required up to the 64 inputs and 64 outputs total per node. All major protocols are available including DeviceNet and ASi and can be interchanged after installation without changes to the configuration of the rest of the system. Integrated PLC Combined PLC (programmable logic controller), I/O (input & output) interface and valve island. Self contained stand alone system controller or can be used as a Fieldbus master for up to 62 slaves. Easy programming using descriptive text statements.
